Georgia R.E.D. Peer Mentor Program

Thank you for your interest in the Georgia R.E.D. Peer Mentor Program!

The R.E.D. (Resilience, Education, and Direction) Peer Mentor Program matches a small group (or “pod”) of incoming students with a current UGA student for a full academic year. During this year, mentors run monthly workshops to develop the wellness skills their mentees will need to succeed at UGA. In addition to this time spent as a pod, participants will engage with the whole program community in monthly social events.

Students are not expected to have had training in wellness subjects prior to the program. If you’re ready to engage with topics like healthy relationships, resilience, and goal-setting, then you’ve got everything you need!

Monthly involvement includes:

  • One 90-minute workshop on a wellness skill, facilitated by peer mentor for their pod;
  • An end-of-month social event;
  • Two in-person check-ins for each mentee with their mentor.

Ready to get involved? We’d love to hear from you!
Mentee applications for incoming students are OPEN until 11:59pm on Tuesday, September 17.
Mentor applications for the 2019-2020 cohort are closed.
