CAPS provides training for postdoctoral psychology fellows seeking licensure and advanced students in psychology, counseling and social work. These early career professionals and trainees also provide counseling to students and practice under the supervision of a licensed clinician.

Otherwise, CAPS services are offered at a reduced cost for students who have paid the student health fee. Students also have the option of requesting insurance reimbursement for services. There is a $30 charge for missed appointments or appointments that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. For students with demonstrated financial need, a limited amount of grant money is available to help with fees for counseling and psychiatric services through a fund established by the UGA Parents Leadership Council. Students are encouraged to discuss any financial concerns with a clinician or call 706-542-2273 for additional information.
