  1. Are there any free workshops or classes led by clinicians or health educators that can provide me with tools to manage my stress, anxiety, relationships, etc.?

  3. Where do I obtain counseling and therapy?

Relieve a little of that finals stress on Reading Day with a beautiful run/walk on the UGA Golf Course at the 5th Annual Healthy Dawg Jingle Bell Fun Run!

The purpose of EngageMENt Discussion Groups is to provide a supportive space for male-identified students to engage in critical thought across a series of subjects without fear of judgement. We encourage students to attend all six sessions, but attendance is voluntary, and students can join and/or leave the group at any time in the semester. Due to the nature of the deep level discussions, groups will be open to male-identified students only.

Wellness Coaching

Wellness coaching supports an individual’s own motivations and strengths. Students will map their path for positive behavior change(s) through a collaborative, unbiased partnership.

A Wellness Coach will work with you to:

  • Set and achieve personal goals
  • Initiate and sustain wellness behaviors
  • Balance dimensions of health and wellbeing
  • Learn resilience and coping skills
  • Identify potential barriers to change and develop strategies to move forward

Body Positivity Workshops

These workshops will provide an overview of positive body image and the media. Through interactive discussions of beauty standards and activities for challenging negative body talk, participants will be encouraged to think positively about themselves and focus on true beauty rather than unrealistic ideals.

Fempowerment is a workshop series that focuses on the intersection of womanhood and wellness. Womanhood in this context encompasses anyone who identifies as a woman or identifies with femininity. Through these workshops, students will analyze components of dating and relationships, appearance and body image, and healthy sexuality. Fempowerment challenges students to learn about systems that impact womanhood, reflect on their own experiences, and be exposed to diverse opinions to facilitate personal growth and wellness. Inspired by the FemSex @ Berkeley movement

Sketching for Mindfulness

Join the Fontaine Center for a peaceful and relaxing yoga session!
Practicing yoga has been shown to alleviate stress and reduce anxiety. Our yoga instructor will guide students of all skill levels through deep breathing, meditation, and fundamental stretching poses for total mind-body relaxation.
