In 1917, the Crawford W. Long Infirmary opened with one doctor and one patient room. Over the decades the health center has grown to accommodate the ever-growing UGA student population. The health center now is a 111,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that hosts 13 clinics with a robust health and wellness mission.
In celebrating this marquee moment in UGA history the health center will kick off with a 100-year celebration on Friday, August 18th. Any member of the UGA community served that day by one of our clinics will receive a momentous dog-bone treat and be entered into a raffle to win 1 of 3 prizes:
Additionally, our UHC Vision Clinic/UGA Shade Shack will host a sunglass side-walk sale in the atrium, and we invite all to stop by our UHC Dental Clinic to receive a free toothbrush and toothpaste (no appointment necessary).
While you’re here, don’t forget to grab a delicious taco from the Taqueria 1785 taco truck from 11:30-1:30!
