Condom Distribution Policy

The mission of the Sexual Health Education Program at the University Health Center is to provide accurate information and reliable resources in order to empower University of Georgia students to make informed decisions regarding their sexual well-being that are consistent with their personal beliefs and values. Therefore, requests for samples (such as condom and lubricants) must be carefully reviewed in order to ensure alignment with the Program's mission.

Written materials, such as brochures and hand-outs, are available in the Resource Library at any time without need for a written request or prior notification.

Teaching Assistants, Resident Advisors, and Student Organization leaders are encouraged to arrange for the Sexual Health Coordinator to present the information to the class/group rather than presenting the information themselves. Guest speakers from organizations outside the University Health Center are responsible for providing their own samples to be distributed.

Group presentations by the Sexual Health Coordinator include:

  • Anatomically accurate penis and vagina models
  • Examples of contraception and barrier methods
  • Demonstrations of the correct usage of various methods
  • University Health Center resources
  • Safer sex samples for attendees

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Program requests must be made at least two weeks in advance.
  • To request a program you must complete the Program Request Form.

You can reach the Sexual Health Coordinator, Katy Janousek, by phone (706-542-8690) or email (kjanousek@uhs.uga.edu).
