You are required to take the Freshman course if you are an incoming first year or transfer student who will not have turned 23 years of age by the last day of drop/add for undergraduate courses (course numbers 1000-5999). (View the academic calendar.)

GODAWGS
3. How do I know if I’ve passed the MSB FRESHMAN course?
If you’ve passed (achieved an 80% or higher), you should be directed to a certificate of completion for this course.
4. I finished taking myStudentBody FRESHMAN course, but I failed to pass the post quiz. What should I do?
You will need to retake the course, carefully reading the articles and strategies. You must obtain a passing score of at least 80% on the post-quiz.
5. What should I do with my certificate of completion?
Email a copy of the certificate of completion to yourself and print a copy for your records. You do not need to send the certificate of completion to a course administrator.
6. When is the flag on my account removed after I’ve taken the myStudentBody FRESHMAN course?
The flag on your OASIS account will be removed through an automated process within 24 hours of completing the Freshman course.
7. I’ve taken the myStudentBody online course, but there is still a flag on my record. What’s going on?
- Check your certificate to ensure that you passed the FRESHMAN course. If you did not take the FRESHMAN course and instead completed a different module, you’ll need to follow the instructions on our website to complete the correct course for the flag to be removed.
- Check to ensure that you passed your course with an 80% score or higher.
- If you have just taken the course, please allow up to 24 hours for flag removal.
- If you have taken the FRESHMAN course and completed it with an 80% or higher, please bring your certificate to the Health Promotion department of the University Health Center so that we may remove your flag.
8. I lost my certificate of completion for the myStudentBody FRESHMAN course. How do I get another one?
- Sign into myStudentBody.com as a registered user.
- Click on the alcohol sticky note to advance to the Alcohol Home Page.
- Under the heading "Completed Courses," you will see a certificate icon for the course IF you have successfully completed it.
- Click the certificate icon to view, print, or e-mail your certificate of completion.
- If you have not yet completed the course, then click on "Required to Be Here?" Start Your Course. You will be directed to the point at which you stopped the Freshman course.
9. I am trying to complete the FRESHMAN course, but I’m stuck. I have read all the articles and strategies, and a check mark appears by each one, yet I can’t seem to move to the next section. What should I do?
Take a minute to run through the lists of articles, strategies, and tools. Make sure each item includes a visible check mark in the box next to it. Complete any and all of the areas that have not been checked. To complete each article or strategy, you must select the "Return to Main" button at the bottom of the page; using the back button will not register the piece as completed. Items listed in the tools section are considered completed when the pop-up window is closed.
If a check mark appears next to each article, strategy, and tool, and you are convinced that you have read all of the course content but are still stuck, try this: Click the "Log Out" button in the upper right corner of the page. Close your browser completely, reopen it, and log back in. You will return to the place in the course where you stopped, and you should be able to proceed to the post-quiz.
10. I’m under 21. Can I be sure that no one sees my answers about my drinking?
All of the information you give us is completely confidential. You do not have to worry about anyone from the University of Georgia seeing it.
11. Whom do I contact with additional questions?
Call 706-542-8690 or email msb@uhs.uga.edu
Technical Difficulties:
1. I am a returning user and have forgotten my username and/or password. Help!
If you think you know your username, then click the "forgot your password? Reset it here" link in the sign-in box. You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address, where you will receive your new password.
2. I am taking the Freshman course, and the tools pop-up page says "Page Cannot Be Displayed." Why is this happening?
If you see the "page cannot be displayed" message, then hit the "refresh" button on your browser. If you continue to get this message, then click the "Logout" button, close your browser completely, reopen it, and log back in. MSB will direct you to where you stopped the course.
3. After passing the post-quiz, I was unable to view the certificate of completion. I saw an error page instead. Why?
If you get an error message when you are trying to print your certificate, then hit the back button and click refresh on your browser. If you still get an error message, then click the Logout button, close your browser completely, reopen it, and log back in. MSB will direct you to the point at which you stopped the course. If for some reason you are taken to the homepage, click on "Required to Be Here? Start Your Course" The certificate of completion should appear for you to print.
4. My sound doesn’t work. How do I fix it?
You should first check your computer to make sure your speakers are correctly hooked up and turned on. Turn your speakers up to a volume that is comfortable for you, and restart the segment that uses sounds. If you are visiting MSB from a public place like a computer lab, you may want to use headphones to listen to the audio segments.
5. I can’t seem to see any tools or peer stories. Can you help?
A browser plug-in is required to view the (Flash) tools and animated peer stories. If you cannot see any tools or peer stories, you probably do not have this plug-in installed on your computer. You can download the "Macromedia Shockwave Player" for free by using the link at the bottom of any MSB page or by visiting the following URL: www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download.
6. I am working with a MAC and am unable to print the certificate. Why?
As long as the certificate appears on your web browser, you can use the browser's built-in "Print" command to print the web page instead of using the link on the page itself. If you cannot print your web pages using the browser's built-in print function, then the problem is a larger software or hardware issue. Email MSB's technical support department at techsupport@mystudentbody.com.
7. I don’t have a printer, so I can’t print the certificate of completion. I tried to print my certificate on a friend’s computer, but it didn’t work.
JavaScript must be enabled on your browser in order to print the certificate of completion. If you do not have a printer, cannot change your browser settings, or find a computer that will print the certificate, you may use the online form to e-mail the certificate to yourself.
