Each postdoctoral fellow will be assigned two psychologists to serve as clinical supervisors. The fellow's primary supervisor will be a licensed psychologist and will work with the fellow for the entire year. The other supervisor will also be a licensed psychologist and may remain working with the fellow the entire year if mutually desired, but also may rotate mid-year should the fellow elect to do so.

Fellows will meet with each member of the training faculty for an hour during the first couple of weeks of the fellowship. After meeting with all potential supervisors, they will turn in a list of their choices for supervisors and concentrations to the training director. The training director will then consider all requests and make decisions regarding assignment to supervisors.

Fellows will be able to choose to co-lead a group with a member of the training faculty and will receive clinical supervision in this area from the group co-leader. If a fellow desires to facilitate a group that has not been previously offered at CAPS, she/he may negotiate this with the training director and select a member of the training faculty to supervise and serve as a co-facilitator.

Supervisors will complete evaluations on the postdoctoral fellows at the mid-year point (the end of January) and then again at the completion of the fellowship.

Fellows are given the opportunity to provide feedback verbally and in written form about their postdoctoral training experience and supervision to the director of training.
