Ketamine
ketamine hydrochloride

Form

Ketamine is usually found in liquid injectable form, but is converted into a powder and re-packaged in small ziploc bags or capsules which is intranasally taken. The powder can also be put into drinks or injected. It is sometimes sprinkled on tobacco or marijuana and inhaled or used in combination with other drugs like ecstasy, heroin, and cocaine.

When and Why it is Used

Due to its disassociative effects, it is reportedly used as a date rape drug. Ketamine is a central nervous system depressant and rapid-acting general anesthetic.

Other Facts

Low doses of the drug produce an experience called “K-Land”, a mellow, colorful “wonder world”.

High doses can produce an effect referred to as “K-Hole”, an out-of-body, or near death, experience.
